Never heard of a CSA before? CSA stands for, Community Supported Agriculture. Traditionally, a CSA is a mutually beneficial way for local farmers and community members to help one another. Participating members from the community benefit by receiving local, naturally produced, and therefore the freshest and most longest lasting, produce. While the Farmer receives consistent monetary support through the community member’s continued CSA subscription. The farmer can then grow a calculated amount of food to meet the needs of the community. This in turn, limits food waste and prevents the miscalculation of needed product. As well as, promotes greater food security in our state, preserves farm land, and promotes greater bio-diversity! It is a win-win!
Our members experience peace of mind knowing that they are guaranteed a share of safely produced vegetables and fruit. Also known to be the best produce around…and it’s 100% Certified Organic! It just doesn’t get any better than this.
Blue Sky Organic Farms
2018-2019 Main Growing Season
Life beyond the supermarket, begins at the farm. By the hands and minds of the farmer, the crew, and it’s supporters. This life begins with one seed, perfectly proportioned soil, clean water, and the graceful embrace of the sun’s rays. This life is sustained by dedicated care, an attuned eye, and impassioned experience. This life begins at the farm, and is lovingly cared for until finding its place at your table; bringing new life to you and your family.
Just as we nurture and care for each plant from seed to harvest, the plant then cares for us. Giving us an opportunity for greater health, added energy, and a deeper connection to the land we live on. Farming is a gift, and we wish to share this gift with our community. You are invited to join us, as we move with the sun, grow with the weather, and develop each seed into nutrient rich, food. Bringing you, the community, a cornucopia of flavors, textures, sights, fragrances, and sounds of Arizona grown produce. We bring this gift of safely produced, high quality food to the community by means of our Farm Store, our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, and the farmer’s markets we attend.
We welcome back our friends of the farm, and delight in knowing that our main growing season has arrived. Now is the time to procure your share of the harvest, as a CSA member, visit our Farm Store, or join us at one of the Farmer’s Markets we attend (see list below).
Joining our CSA program is easy. You can subscribe to be a part of the action this season, by following this link to our subscription site. On this site you can create a login account and sign up for your share of the harvest under Classic CSA Farm Box. We have streamlined this program to include one size share, containing five to seven of Blue Sky Organic Farms’ best producing harvests for the week. You can subscribe to receive a Farm Box every week (weekly), or every other week (bi-weekly). As usual, we offer Holds for when you are out of town without charge, as long as the hold is placed 72 hours prior to next delivery date.
We will continue to offer the opportunity for members to get their favorite farm items, by offering a variety of Add On items. These certified organic items will consist of not only farm fresh strawberry jam, raw honey, and eggs; but will also include favorite produce items like Romanesco, baby spinach, our triple washed spring mix, rainbow carrots, and strawberries. The list goes on, so you can continue receiving your favorite items while supporting the farm that brought it to you. As the weather changes as will our crops, thus providing variety and quality in every CSA Farm Box.

Don’t see your preferred location? We do apologize. Yet, we took a long hard look at what was working and how we could best continue growing quality produce. The answer was to work smarter. We are keeping it simple this season so we can focus on developing the products and services we intend to offer. Our hope is that you will be able to find a comparable location for pick up, and or visit us at one of the following Farmer’s Markets to get our locally produced, certified organic vegetables and fruit.
